The Brief
When Pelican Engineering’s marketing director contacted us 22 weeks before K-Show Düsseldorf, they had a clear brief: a 160 sq.m stand that would position them alongside Tier-1 global competitors, feature three live product demonstration zones, accommodate private customer meetings, and deliver on a fixed budget.
The Challenge
K-Show attracts 225,000 visitors from 166 countries over 8 days. With 3,200 global exhibitors, competition for visitor attention is extraordinary. A stand of 160 sq.m sounds large — but in the context of K-Show’s main halls, it is mid-sized at best.
The Design Process
Our senior design team produced 3 initial concepts in week 3. The approved concept: a double-height structure with visible engineering aesthetic — exposed powder-coated steel, industrial mesh screens and concrete-effect panels — reflecting Pelican’s manufacturing heritage while projecting a premium brand identity.
Key design features: 6m tower element visible from all entry points, three distinct demonstration zones, enclosed 8-person meeting room with glass walls, open hospitality bar with 360° product display, and full LED ceiling canopy with programmable lighting.
Production and Installation
Our Poznań workshop fabricated the stand over 8 weeks. Three articulated lorries transported materials 1,400km from Poznań to Düsseldorf — managed entirely in-house. Our 8-person installation crew completed the stand in 3 full build days ahead of the official show opening.
The Results
Pelican’s sales director reported: 340 qualified visitor conversations, 47 active sales opportunities opened, 3 distribution partnership agreements initiated, and measurable increase in brand recognition from competitors and customers surveyed post-show.
